Design Flexibility

Cold & Green knows that when it comes to refrigeration, there is no “one-size-fits-all.” We take every detail into consideration, and we deliver robust designs tailored precisely to your individual needs, requirements, and project scope. Our team will engineer and fabricate the solution that is most suitable for your application & product type, for your property size, location, and traffic flow.

Production Flexibility

Our current 27,000 sq.ft. manufacturing facility in the US Southeast can produce insulation panels at a rate of 24,000 sq. ft. per day, and two additional plants are expected to come online over the next two years, including one in the Central United States. We are able to produce panels in thicknesses from 3” (76.2 mm) to 12” (30.48 mm) and in lengths up to 32’ (10.36 m). Our new production line being commissioned in 2021 will allow us to produce panels in 40’ (12.19 m) lengths. We use high-capacity blades to precision-cut insulation materials. Finally, we only use the highest quality adhesives available, coupled with custom German-engineered equipment, for a superb lamination process and a lifetime of worry-free panels that do not delaminate.

Full-Service Logistics

We enjoy fast and inexpensive shipping throughout the eastern & central USA and to the Caribbean & Central America.

Some capabilities & options to be aware of:

Depending on your project, our Logistics team may recommend shipping via LTL (“Less Than Trailer”) or via dedicated trailer or ocean container;
When a dedicated trailer/container is used, our logistics team carefully loads panels with packing materials so as to avoid damage and to make unloading easy. This extra care often saves customers hundreds of Dollars per truckload.
If we are shipping your LTL goods via common carrier, we use sturdy boxes & packing materials, or even wooden crates.
We can ship FOB plant (customer pick-up) or CIF anywhere (delivered to you fully insured);
For international shipments, we can work with your freight forwarder, or we can provide you with these services;
We have considerable expertise working with international Letters of Credit;
For pickups at our plant, our warehouse team is able to load your goods into dock-level trailers & flatbed trucks, as well as to load small boxes onto pickup trucks.

Our Manufacturing Advantage

Unlike many of our larger competitors, we are not tied to a foamed-in-place polyurethane process. This allows us to avoid using polyurethane insulation (unless our customers insist on this material). Polyurethane off-gases over time and loses much of its insulation capacity, and in addition, it absorbs excessive moisture resulting in icing & delamination. Please see our blogs for environmental & durability reasons to choose alternative insulation materials. Our manufacturing process allows us to use Expanded Polystyrene (EPS) and Extruded Polystyrene (XPS), which have multiple advantages.

Choice of Materials

In addition to giving us a choice of insulation materials, our process allows us to produce panels of various thicknesses, with various fastening systems (Cam-Lock or Snap), using a variety of finishes, including galvanized steel, aluminum, and stainless steel of various gauges, and different finishes. Significantly, we are also able to retool quickly, allowing us to switch easily between products of different finishes, insulation types and thicknesses. With Cold & Green, you do not pay a premium for smaller projects; our custom products are competitive with others’ generic/standard offerings.

Our Rugged Insulated Doors

Our insulated doors are quite simply the best in the business.

With insulated doors, an inferior product is not immediately obvious, but cheaply made doors may begin to come apart in as little as a year, requiring the customer to pay for expensive service calls and replacement doors. We believe the right approach is to make solid reinforced doors that will provide years of headache free service! Replacement Doors for Everyone!

Because your existing walk-in may have been made by others, we offer our rugged and easy to install Replacement Doors. You will love their sturdy construction, and you will no longer have to replace your walk-in door every other year! These solid doors include all hardware, are hung on outside casing (inside casing is optional but recommended) and are appropriate for contractors, handymen, and DIYers, and we ship these quickly to any destination in the continental USA.
